Lady Bird Lake

Lady Bird Lake is actually a part of the Colorado River, but is a reservoir created by the Longhorn dam. Many Austinites still refer to Lady Bird Lake as Town Lake. The name was officially changed in 2007 to Lady Bird Lake in honor of Lady Bird Johnson, the former First Lady of the United States.

A scenic, river-like reservoir on the Colorado River in downtown Austin, Texas. It's an outdoor hub for kayaking, paddleboarding, and walking, and is globally famous as a vantage point for viewing the Congress Avenue Bridge bat colony.
