Smith Greenbelt provides the citizens of Lakeway with a short but wonderful hiking trail which wonders along Hurst Creek. It is a fabulous place for a family outing, exercise jog, or to walk the dog (on a leash, of course). The 4.5 acre greenbelt was made possible through a generous donation from Coleman and Mary Smith.
Entering Smith Greenbelt
There are two entrances to the Smith Greenbelt. The main entrance, off Lohmans Crossing Road, is right across the street from the Hamilton Greenbelt entrance and parking lot. If you drive your vehicle to Smith Greenbelt, the best place to park is either in the City Hall parking lot or Hamilton Greenbelt parking lot. You can also enter the Smith Greenbelt from Lakeway Drive. However, this entrance has no parking facilities.
