Austin Shakespeare

Bring Shakespeare to life with a workshop by professional actors and staff from Austin Shakespeare. During this 40-minute workshop, our actors come to your school to work with your students directly. Half the workshop features our trained actors performing scenes; the rest has students working in small groups with the actors to speak and perform the words themselves. We believe Shakespeare is much better understood when seen and heard rather than simply read. Invite your students to deepen their understanding of Shakespeare through this fun, interactive workshop.

Austin Shakespeare's Young Shakespeare teen company has performed summer productions at the Curtain since The Comedy of Errors in the summer of 2009.
